Walter Tull Day

Walter Tull was the first black outfield playing professional footballer when he signed for Spurs in 1909. He later became Britain's first black Army Officer during the Great War. His courage and gallantry earned him a recommendation for the Military Cross but sadly it was never awarded. Walter was killed in action and his body never recovered.

Help us remember one of Britain's forgotten hero's and raise awareness of the injustice that still continues to this day.

Walter fought for us... join us as we fight for Walter
