Jeffery Williams is not just a name but a beacon of selflessness and unwavering dedication to serving others, particularly within the military community. With years of remarkable service in the Royal Marines Commandos, Jeffery has left an indelible mark through his acts of charity and advocacy.

During his tenure in the Royal Marines Commandos, Jeffery undertook years of selfless charity work, exemplifying the core values of service and camaraderie. He dedicated himself to assisting those in need, both within and outside the military community. Notably, Jeffery played a pivotal role in training young people with learning disabilities to achieve the Duke of Edinburgh Bronze Award, highlighting his commitment to empowering others to overcome challenges.

In November 2015, Jeffery founded the Facebook group "Form Up – We Never Leave Anyone Behind," which has since grown to over 8.8 thousand members. Through this platform, he orchestrates fundraising efforts and helps former Royal Marines and their family’s facing hardship or distress. Jeffery's compassionate leadership has inspired countless acts of generosity and support within the military community.

Recognising the pressing issue of mental health among veterans, Jeffery established the Veterans United Against Suicide (VUAS) Facebook group in April 2018. Through VUAS, Jeffery tirelessly advocates for better mental health services and support for serving members and veterans. His initiatives, such as the distribution of informational cards and wristbands, have been instrumental in providing crucial resources to those in crisis.

Jeffery's dedication extends beyond online advocacy to direct involvement in supporting veterans in need. He coordinates efforts to provide essential household items to struggling families and offers counselling and assistance to those grappling with PTSD and suicidal thoughts. His tireless commitment to preventing suicides and supporting mental health initiatives has saved lives and provided hope to countless individuals.

Despite facing personal challenges, including a battle with throat cancer, Jeffery's determination to serve others has never wavered. He continues to be actively involved in community outreach, volunteering at the National Memorial Arboretum at Alrewas and collaborating with various organisations to support veterans and their families.

Jeffery's remarkable contributions have not gone unnoticed, as evidenced by his accolades, including being named a finalist for several prestigious awards and receiving the silver award at the Scottish Veterans Awards for Inspiration of the Year in 2021.
